The M.A. Winter Building, located in Washington DC at 1436 U Street, NW, is a four storied, freestanding former warehouse building built in 1908. The current owners purchased the property as a vacant “shell” in 1985 and after an 18 month renovation offered it for lease as professional office space. The building leased immediately and has enjoyed a near zero vacancy rate ever since.
The 100 year old industrial building features exposed brick walls, high ceilings and exposed structural elements. The suites are configured with individual HVAC systems allowing tenant control over their individual environments. The building is free standing and the large number of windows open allowing extraordinary ventilation and light. The building offers off street parking, a landscaped courtyard and a roof deck affording extraordinary city views.
